The game’s story is shrouded in mystery, with unknown founders and purposes behind the Backroom Company, which has seen many hired explorers disappear.Gameplay involves solo or cooperative exploration (up to 8 players) through increasingly complex levels, avoiding or outsmarting entities with distinct behaviors. Players collect and manage items, communicate through walkie-talkies, and work together to survive. The game features a main control room for buying and selling items, and players must achieve target amounts to progress. Challenges include avoiding deadly entities, such as the unstoppable “Bacteria” and sound-sensitive parasites, and making strategic decisions to overcome obstacles.
